Künstlerresidenzen im Bereich Performing Arts
Kredance, z. s. schreibt einen Open Call für Künstlerresidenzen im Rahmen des internationalen Projekts Performance Exchange aus.
Der Open Call richtet sich an professionelle Künstler*innen und Ensembles mit Wirkungsort in Deutschland, die im Bereich zeitgenössischer Tanz und Bewegungstheater arbeiten und Zeit und Raum für eine konzentrierte Arbeit an ihrem eigenen künstlerischen Projekt in einer neuen Umgebung suchen.
Über das Projekt
Performance Exchange ist ein internationales Austauschprogramm mit dem Ziel, die europäische Performing-Arts-Szene zu vernetzen, Erfahrungen zu teilen und künstlerische Arbeitsprozesse zu unterstützen. Der Fokus liegt auf Experiment, Recherche und Offenheit des Prozesses – nicht auf einem fertigen Ergebnis.
Die Künstlerresidenzen ermöglichen es den Teilnehmenden, aus ihrem gewohnten Arbeitskontext herauszutreten, in einer neuen Umgebung zu arbeiten und zugleich Kontakt zur lokalen Gemeinschaft und zum Publikum aufzubauen.
Künstlerresidenzen
Im Rahmen des Open Calls werden maximal 4 Residenzprojekte ausgewählt, die im Jahr 2026 im Residenzraum VÝMĚNÍK1 in České Budějovice (Tschechische Republik) stattfinden.
Die Residenzen richten sich an Einzelkünstler*innen sowie Kollektive, die professionell in Deutschland tätig sind (unabhängig von ihrer Staatsangehörigkeit).
Die Dauer einer Residenz beträgt in der Regel 10–14 Tage. Die konkrete Aufenthaltsdauer wird individuell vereinbart und kann je nach Projekt und räumlichen Möglichkeiten variieren.

- Zuschuss zu den Reisekosten
- Probenraum
- grundlegende organisatorische und produktionelle Unterstützung während der Residenz
Die konkreten Termine werden individuell mit den ausgewählten Künstler*innen vereinbart.
Öffnung des Prozesses
Die Residenzen sind als gegenseitiger Austausch konzipiert. Teil des Aufenthalts ist eine Öffnung des künstlerischen Prozesses für die Öffentlichkeit, insbesondere in Form von:
- einem kostenlosen Workshop für die Öffentlichkeit
- einer Work-in-Progress-Präsentation / offenen Probe, sofern es der Arbeitsstand des Projekts erlaubt
Ziel dieser Formate ist Dialog, Austausch und Feedback – nicht die Präsentation eines fertigen Werks.

Artist Residencies in Performing Arts
Kredance, z. s. announces an open call for artist residencies within the international project Performance Exchange.
The open call is aimed at professional artists and companies based in Germany, working in the field of contemporary dance and movement theatre, who are looking for time and space to focus on their own artistic project in a new environment.
About the Project
Performance Exchange is an international exchange programme focused on connecting the European performing arts scene, sharing experiences and supporting artistic working processes. The project emphasises experimentation, research and openness of process rather than finished outcomes.
The artist residencies offer participants the opportunity to step out of their usual working context, work in a different environment and establish connections with the local community and audience.
Artist Residencies
Within this open call, up to 4 residency projects will be selected to take place in 2026 at the residency space Výměník1 in České Budějovice (Czech Republic).
The residencies are open to individual artists and collectives professionally based in Germany, regardless of nationality.
The usual duration of a residency is 10–14 days. The exact length of stay will be agreed individually and may vary depending on the needs of the project and the availability of the space.
What the Residency Offers

- Basic organisational and production support during the residency
Specific residency dates will be agreed individually with the selected artists.
Sharing the Process
The residencies are conceived as a mutual exchange. As part of the stay, artists are expected to open their creative process to the public, primarily through:
- a free workshop for the public
- a work-in-progress presentation / open rehearsal, if the project stage allows
The aim of these activities is dialogue, exchange and feedback, not the presentation of a finished work.
